[...] One of the most common questions and criticisms I hear about DP is the issue of security. People assume that because DP gives users the power to access their data from other networks that suddenly everyone is going to be able to access each others data. This is a single fundamental misunderstanding that makes the rest of DP not make sense from the start. Here is an example of an article raising these very concerns. I was also tuned into the live podcast of the 2web crew where Chris Saad did a live appearance on the show to talk about Dataportability.
